Bangkok, Capital del Reino de Thailand, es el centro político, económico, y cultural no solo de Thailand sino de toda la región del sudoeste asiático, su gran influencia en el arte y turismo que atrae a miles de visitantes de todas partes del mundo, la convierten en una Ciudad cosmopolita, Bangkok tiene una población de 6 millones de habitantes que la hacen la mas poblada del Reino, y es sede politica de Thailand, siendo la Residencia de los Reyes uno de sus grandes atractivos ya que es el Palacio Real una soberbia estructura de grandes dimensiones, los canales y sus mercados sobre ellos es otro de los paseos que no debes perderte,

La religión que practican en Thailandia casi en su mayoría es el Budismo con ciertos porcentajes de musulmanes dentro de la población, el Budismo en si tiene grandes templos por todos los alrededores que destacan el templo del Big Buddha, los templos son lugares de oración y recogimiento, se respira un ambiente de tranquilidad y paz y como turista occidental debes respetar la tradición por lo que no debes llevar zapatos,

El servicio que los taxis Tuk Tuk, debes tener cuidado, ya que por precios muy económicos te llevan a cualquier parte pero ellos están enganchados económicamente con establecimientos de la Ciudad y te hacen perder incluso buena parte de tu recorrido, normalmente el costo de estas moto taxis es de USD$6 dólares americanos, y para que tengas una idea un taxi desde el Aeropuerto Internacional  Suvarnabhumi uno de los dos que cuenta la Ciudad hasta el centro de la misma esta valorizado en UDS$11 dólares americanos aproximadamente ya que tiene taxímetro y te pueden incluso dar mas recorrido de lo necesario pero como tu eres un viajero frecuente eso no será problema debido a que te informaras muy bien de como hacer para llegar a tu Hotel en menos tiempo,

La alimentación en Bangkok esta garantizada tienen una gran gastronomía de fusión con los países vecinos como gran variedad de comida China, comida Vietnamita, comida de Laos, entre los potajes locales, si bien es cierto lo mejor es comer en la calle ya que cada platillo de estos te cuesta no mas de USD2 dólares americanos, pero las porciones son muy pequeñas por lo que te pedirás hasta dos platillos, por otro lado tienen una gran variedad de insectos que te los ofrecen como bocadillos y pondrás a prueba tu resistencia a lo nuevo, pero si quieres alimentarte en algún centro comercial o restaurante también los precios no varían mucho es una ciudad recomendable por los costos que son muy económicos,

En cuanto al Clima es extremadamente caluroso casi todo el año, debes llevar ropa muy ligera y protector solar, y siempre para las noches un corta viento,

La vida nocturna tiene dos zonas la turística y la del pleno centro financiero de la ciudad de Bangkok, de igual manera ambas están garantizadas por temas de seguridad ni te preocupes, y los locales de diversión son A1, fiesta, buena música y si buscas locales de sexo esta es la ciudad, tienen clubs de strippers mujeres y hombres, además de una muy variada oferta sexual para hombres, mujeres y gays, tu solo tienes que escoger tus limites y Bangkok te pondrá varias veces a prueba.

Santo Domingo "La Ciudad mas Continental del Caribe"

El día de hoy los invito a recorrer la Ciudad de Santo Domingo, Capital de la República Dominicana, Ciudad mas importante del país con aproximadamente 5 millones de habitantes, es conocida por ser el primera Ciudad española en América, fundada en 1496, cuenta dentro de sus atractivos con la primera Catedral y el primer castillo de los Europeos en las Américas, Santo Domingo ademas es la Ciudad mas importante y poblada del caribe, y es reconocida como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la Unesco.

En ella encontraras muchos contrastes, entre su gente nativa y extranjera, hacen que esa mixtura los haga únicos, debido a que son personas muy alegres y siempre estén de fiesta, ademas de tomarse la vida muy relajada, también podrás notar infraestructura muy moderna de lo que se jactan los dominicanos, como grandes edificios al borde del mar, que cuentan con helipuertos, ademas de organizar grandes eventos como de música electrónica en los diversos hoteles de la Ciudad, y todo esto contrasta con lugares mas pobres donde puedes verdad el sufrimiento del pueblo, ademas de contar con una importante colonia de sus cercanos vecinos de Haití, sin embargo las megaestructuras la hacen bella, por otro lado dentro de la Ciudad Antigua como le llaman ellos, podrás ubicar como dijimos antes estructuras coloniales de cuando los españoles llegaron por primera vez al continente, como:

En Santo Domingo, podrás encontrar en la Av. Anacaona gran desarrollo en sus alrededores con grandes edificios y centros comerciales, tiendas por departamentos ademas de grandes marcas internacionales, tiene un gran potencial de progreso, la infraestructura vial es de primer nivel, el Aeropuerto esta ubicado a 30 min al este de la Ciudad y esta conectado con un viaducto de kilómetros hasta el centro de la Ciudad,  la moneda oficial es el peso dominicano que tiene una tasa de cambio actual de 30 pesos por USD$1 dolar, el costo de un taxi oficial es de USD $20 dolares americanos, y para hospedarse mejor es la parte del centro ubicas hospedajes a todo gusto y precio.

En cuanto al clima en Santo Domingo es tropical, y en temporadas de lluvias y tormentas podrás visualizar huracanes poderosos como Olga que fue muy destructivo en el 2008, por lo regular hace mucho calor llegando a temperaturas de hasta 40 grados, con mucha humedad, y por lo que hacen que sus playas sea una gran opción para disfrutar del mar Caribe,

Los lugares turísticos son abiertos al publico donde podrás pasear por largas horas en el casco antiguo, y el malecón es un lugar imperdible por supuesto para que aproveches el día, o puedas programar algún tour en una localidad cercana, Santo Domingo tiene mucho que ofrecer como ciudad y sin duda no la vas a pasar mal, no todo es Punta Cana cuando recuerdas a República Dominicana como ahí suelen decir, las discotecas y bares son  la seguridad esta garantizada ya que son un pueblo muy pacifico y no dejes de probar su gastronomía internacional, tiene muy variada oferta de restaurantes de nivel mundial como las tapas españolas, las pizzas y carnes en el restaurante la Red, los postres ni que decir cuenta con unas pastelerías deliciosas, y los sushis es su mejor especialidad acompañada de una gastronomía local basada en la comida caribeña de patacones, frijoles y carnes con arroz.

Phucket Island - Thailand

Queridos Lectores,

Los invito a visitar las playas de Thailand, son de las mejores del mundo, de aguas tranquilas, de sol espectacular, arena blanca, e ideal para deportes acuáticos y de aventura, a pesar que uno puede pensar que esta al otro lado del mundo y debe ser un destino muy turístico y por ende muy caro, eso no es así, Thailand ofrece al mundo, un ambiente cálido, a excelentes precios, y donde podrás conseguir de todo para todos los gustos, por lo que los invito a recorrer conmigo Phucket Island.

Phucket Island se encuentra al extremo sur oeste del Reino de Thailand, es la isla mas grande del País, la moneda es el Thai que al cambio de dólares americanos es de 1 contra 27 aproximadamente, con casi aproximadamente medio millón de personas la habitan entre ellos unos 100 mil extranjeros lo que casi hace que sea el 21% del total, la isla de Phucket, es un destino turístico por excelencia, ya que hay muchas facilidades que nos brinda para desplazarnos de isla a isla y de playa a playa, tiene una red turística bien consolidada, es mas se puede decir que viven para el turismo, el idioma si que es una barrera ya que al ser un país pobre no esta muy señalizado y solo necesitas un poco del sentido de la ubicación, pero para los comercios si tienen bien presente que el dolar es su objetivo, en la Isla de Phucket encontraras grandes centros comerciales con todos los restaurantes de comida rápida que conoces, ademas de excelentes lugares de comida Thai, en las calles es un gran centro de comercio, ya que te venden imitaciones de las grandes marcas a excelentes precios, si caminas y compras no terminaras ni en dos días,

El clima monzonico que acompaña esta parte sur de Thailand hace que el clima parezca extremo de temperaturas de calor en mayo por ejemplo de hasta 45 grados, y lluvias que te pueden sorprender en cualquier momento por eso que es inteligente llevar todo para protegerte del sol como de la lluvia,

Yo me hospede en Julies House en la playa de Patong Beach, un hospedaje a 1 cuadra de la playa en el extremo norte de la isla cerca de la calle principal, a un económico precio de USD$20 dolares americanos por noche en habitación doble, el lugar era perfecto silencioso, con dos cómodas camas, minibar, baño privado y excelente aire acondicionado por lo que se los recomiendo, ahí mismo en la recepción puedes rentar los tours que te llevaran a los diversos puntos de la Isla, como visitar Phi Phi Island por USD$25 dolares americanos por persona si que vale la pena, incluye un barco con asientos en primera clase y los servicios de snack, que esta ubicado al sur de la isla a unos 40 minutos, y luego un viaje en barco por 2 horas, llegas a Phi Phi, hermosas playas con arena blanca y corales cerca, la practica de deportes de aventura acuático como snorckel también esta incluido dentro del precio del tour. también puedes ir otro día desde el Puerto de Phucket Island hacia la Isla James Bond, vistas impresionantes del lugar, la vegetación que rodea este lugar y fotos del recuerdo sin igual.

La noche en Patong Island es altamente recomendable, los lugares de diversión están por todos lados, bares, stripclub, discotecas, pubs, juegos de mesa, locales de sexo, famosos por sus shows de dragsqueens, Thaiboys, el show del ping pong entre otros, las libertades son únicas en este lugar, el sexo de todo genero, alcohol y desenfreno son algunas de sus atracciones para jóvenes de todas partes de mundo, el descontrol se respira también, pero tienes que tener mucho cuidado.

Kuala Lumpur "La Ciudad del Tigre Asiatico"

 

 

 

Estimados Lectores,

 

 

Nos vamos a recorrer una de las Ciudades mas extrañas en las que he estado durante esta travesía por el Mundo, como es Kuala Lumpur capital de la Federación de Malasia, considerada uno de los tigres asiáticos, por su pujante economía, que hacen que se combinen en ella el esplendor económico, el auge, el progreso, la tecnología, la modernidad, la inmigración, y por supuesto esto se magnifica con las impresionantes Torres Petronas hasta el momento los edificios mas altos de los que en mi experiencia pude visitar,

 

La ciudad de Kuala Lumpur, conocida por sus siglas como KL solamente, ex colonia británica, por lo que hablan ingles y malayo un idioma muy difícil de entender, tiene una población de 1 millón 900 mil habitantes en su área metropolitana, esta localiza al sur del País, el contraste se respira en las calles debido también por sus expresiones religiosas mitad budista mitad musulmán, por las calles ves a ambas costumbres entremezclados entre si, por ejemplo las mujeres musulmanas de ascendencia asiática tapadas con velos de telas ligeras conocida en el mundo musulmán como burkas, y las mujeres asiáticas también con túnicas hindúes,

 

El clima de la Ciudad en mayo es de muchísimo calor llegando a temperaturas de hasta 40 grados centígrados, lo que hace que caminar sea toda una odisea, pero para eso las autoridades de KL pensaron en la construcción de fajas caminadoras que te llevan por las alturas de centro comercial a centro comercial, es una modernidad que nunca pude ver antes, pero hace que estas fajas construidas para facilitar el traslado acompañado del aire acondicionado, los malls están en todos lados, lo que hace que puedas comprar ropa y accesorios a excelentes precios y de muy buena calidad, es un destino de compras realmente recomendado,

 

El sistemas de transporte es para aplaudir, tiene una red de metro, y trenes urbanos, y en todas las estaciones encontraras las maquinas expendedoras de tickets en ingles y malayo y hasta en otros idiomas lo que te generan un ambiente de tranquilidad por el costo de USD$2 dólares americanos por tramo, desde el Aeropuerto existe el tren urbano por un costo de USD$14 dólares americanos te lleva a cualquier estación del centro de la ciudad en unos 30 minutos de trayecto, cenar o almorzar en la Ciudad no es un problema encuentras todas las cadenas americanas de fast food, así como comida local o internacional, y te puede costar un buen combo por menos de USD6 dólares americanos por vez, o un sándwich ligero en una calle por tan solo USD$ 2 dólares americanos, eso si que no le echen muchas salsas sino parecerá algo extraño,

 

Las emblemáticas Torres Petronas, las podrás visualizar desde cualquier punto de la Ciudad, debido a su altura tienen un excelente ángulo para las fotos, esta zona donde están ubicadas en sus primeras plantas tienen un gran centro comercial de lujo con las marcas Premium del mundo de las modas, además de ser el World Trade Center de KL, para poder subir a los pisos superiores tiene un costo y la entrada la consigues para poder visitar por USD22 dólares americanos, en los alrededores está el parque con piletas que adornan el intenso calor, y también esta el AQUARIO KL, recomendable también por su tamaño y las especies diversas del sudoeste asiático la entrada cuesta USD$14 dólares americanos.

 

Cerca a KL se encuentra uno de los mas importantes templos budistas del Asia, donde encontraras un buda muy alto y grande, y tiene unas cuevas que podrás visitar y sirve como mirador para tomar excelentes fotos de la Ciudad de Kuala Lumpur, el templo no cobra entrada pero el ir hasta allá en tren urbano te cuesta el ticket USD4 dólares americanos por tramo.

Bogota " La Ciudad Verde"

Queridos Lectores,

El dia de hoy recorreremos la Capital de la República de Colombia, la Ciudad de Santa Fe de Bogotá mas conocida comúnmente como Bogotá, es el centro cultural, deportivo, económico, y político de Colombia, ubicada en la parte central de Colombia, sobre la cordillera de los andes, a una altura de 2600 msnm y tiene una población de 7 millones y medio de habitantes, la moneda es el peso colombiano,

Bogotá es una Ciudad de contrastes donde combina muy bien la tradición, la historia y la modernidad, teniendo muchas expresiones culturales de arte moderno, por el centro de la Ciudad destacan la plaza principal y la catedral bogotana como el palacio de gobierno, y otros edificios que pueden hacer disfrutar de una buena mañana de paseo por los alrededores,

La Ciudad de Bogotá, esta bien organizada y puedes recorrerla con el sistema integrado de buses transmilenio, o las pequeñas busetas, no tiene metro pero eso no importa el pasaje te cuesta menos de USD1 dolar, y lo puedes conseguir en cualquier estación, desde el aeropuerto del dorado que esta a 30 minutos al norte de la Ciudad y un taxi te cuesta USD15 dólares que los consigues dentro del mismo terminal en los llamados taxis oficiales, el taxímetro dentro de la Ciudad de Bogotá el costo es de donde vayas entre USD4 y USD5 dólares americanos.

Si buscas diversión la respuesta esta en la Zona T que es el lugar donde encontraras las discotecas, bares y clubes nocturnos, una rueda de ron medellin mas una pepsi de litro y limón en un bar te cuesta unos USD8 dolares americanos,  las bellas mujeres colombianas están por todos lados y siendo muy amables con los visitantes ya que los colombianos se les conoce por su educación y amabilidad y eso es una característica bien cierta, y bien ganada ya que se nota por todos lados y te hacen vivir una bonita experiencia, otro lugar que no te puedes perder es el Barrio de Chapinero, donde la vida nocturna es muy agradable y sin duda pasaras un buen momento por el ejemplo se ubica la discoteca de gustos muy diversos como es Teatrom quizás la mas grande de Sudamérica con 8 salas de música muy variada y tiene barra libre hasta las 2am , el costo de la entrada es de USD16 dólares americanos, eso si anda temprano ya que en Bogotá la gente joven sale alrededor de las 11pm, o solo beber cerveza o algunos tragos locales en Bogotá Beer Company que los encontraras por varios puntos de la Ciudad.

La gastronomía esta asegurada en el Restaurante Andres Carne de Res y en la Sanducheria el Corral, o algo mas simple con tu bandeja paisa en cualquier punto de la Ciudad no gastaras mas de USD30 dólares americanos por persona ya que son exponentes Premium de la Cocina Colombiana.

En resumen la belleza Bogotana, es sus hermosos y frondosos parques, arboles y flores por donde vayas, grandes centros comerciales como el Titan o Unicentro, y por supuesto la comida es muy variada y rica, y no puedes dejar de probar la famosa bandeja paisa que tiene un costo de no menos USD7 dólares americanos, otro barrio que no puedes dejar de visitar es la Candelaria donde el mirador es un atractivo mágico y tiene una espectacular visión de toda la Ciudad en el Cerro Montserrat la entrada al mirador incluido el Teleférico te cuesta USD8 dólares americanos, es un paseo del cual no te puedes perder, y almorzar sobre esa vista de toda la Ciudad es único por lo que te recomiendo un delicioso menú por unos USD25 dólares americanos por persona.
