Roma, es la Capital de la Republica de Italia, ubicada en la parte central del territorio italiano, en la provincia del Lacio, con unos 3 millones de habitantes, Roma es una de las cunas de las civilizaciones del mundo antiguo, mucha historia, tradición, cultura se unen en un mismo lugar, dando aspecto sus calles de épocas medievales, cristianas, de los emperadores, rica en monumentos, la vista no tiene algo igual, si bien es cierto por momentos es hasta tenebrosa, hay lugares que permiten viajar años o siglos a tras,
La Ciudad guarda en sus calles mucho arte románico, un paseo en la tarde por los alrededores y caminar sin cansancio para poder recorrer lugares mágicos de antiguos gobernadores todopoderosos y muchas leyendas gracias a las películas bíblicas de lo que era el catolicismo y cristianismo y lo que paso en verdad y lo que cuenta la historia, esa mistura la hace única, una vez sentí el poder que ejerce su historial, remembranzas y te lleva al pasado de una manera que nunca lo podrás vivir solo estando allí, es mas si cierras los ojos puedes ir a esa época y proyectarte como fue la vida en aquellos años, majestuoso imperio y poder magnifico, demostrado por los grandes canales que cruzan la Ciudad, los monumentos como los arcos de los emperadores, grandes jardines, y el Rio Tebere, que adorna la vista.
Roma es una ciudad moderna que cuenta con todo lo que una metrópoli debe tener, las vías de comunicación están interconectadas con el resto del país, con dos modernos aeropuertos, y líneas de trenes, además de las líneas de subterráneo, como la del tren urbano, y autobuses, trasladarte desde la estación de trenes de Termini es muy fácil, es mas debes hospedarte alrededor de la misma estación, te puedo recomendar el Hotel Pisa, bien ubicado, y con buenas instalaciones por tan solo 40 euros la noche, luego para retornar de Termini al Aeropuerto de Fiumicino esta a 45 minutos y el costo del tren es de 14 euros parte cada 30 minutos de la estación, el ticket de metro esta a 1,50 euros,
Para cenar o almorzar encuentras mucha variedad pero siempre sin falta y es un hecho buenas pastas, Roma como Ciudad no tiene muchos lugares de diversión ni locales que abran toda la noche, el control que ejerce el Vaticano sobre la Ciudad es bastante marcado, pero alrededor de la Calle San Giovani es lo mejor que encontraras.
Los tickets para entrar al Colosseo Romano es de 12 euros y es mejor comprarlo por internet ya que te ahorraras 2 horas de colas interminables, así como la entrada para el Musei Vaticano y la Capilla Sixtina los consigues por un costo de 14 euros, para ir al Vaticano compra una entrada que sea alrededor de las 9am para que puedas tener tiempo de ir en metro con tranquilidad, Vaticano esta dentro de la misma Ciudad de Roma a unos 25 minutos desde Termini, es impresionante como museo, como historia, como arte medieval, clásico y las pinturas de Michelangelo o Rafael son impresionantemente espectaculares, te hacen realmente apreciar lo que nunca antes haz ni siquiera imaginado, y el Arte religioso de la Capilla Sixtina como de la Catedral de San Pedro, solo estando allí sentirás, lo grandioso del lugar.
