Cusco "El Ombligo del Mundo"

Comenzare este capitulo explicando un poco lo que es la Ciudad Imperial del Cusco, mas conocida antiguamente durante el imperio incaico como el ombligo del mundo, ya que en ella se unían todos los caminos de los dominios incaicos, sus 4 provincias terminaban o comenzaban en este lugar, Cusco es una ciudad empedrada, magnifica, majestuosa, e imperdible, por eso es una de las maravillas modernas del mundo, Cusco tiene un planeamiento urbano y paisajístico de los últimos 700 años como la cuna de una civilización extraordinaria y muy misteriosa además de ser un puma gigante, donde la plaza de armas es la parte central de la figura de un puma,

Cusco en la actualidad es una ciudad de unos 400 mil habitantes, localizada a unos 3800 msnm, con un clima diferente en las dos estaciones marcadas muy frio y lluvioso  y muy soleado y frio en las noches la otra parte del año, la ciudad esta influenciada por la cantidad de turistas extranjeros que recorren sus calles, su arquitectura española e inca hacen que la mezcla hace que se parezca en alguna similitud a Florencia de América, además de ser el Cusco la capital arqueológica, los lugares turísticos están por doquier a donde vayas, museos, iglesias, conventos, templos del sol, es una ciudad sumamente cultural, ya sea como eje turístico así como paisajístico, los alrededores de la ciudad hay mucho por ver, el circuito esta bien logrado y la ayuda al turista esta a pedir de la mano.

Cusco es un lugar mágico donde encuentras de todo diversión toda la noche, cultura, arte, historia, arquitectura, arqueología, vestigios de civilizaciones antiguas, es una ciudad completa, encuentras de todo miles de turistas la visitan diariamente, confabulándose para tener una gran experiencia, si tienes opción de comprarlo online tus rutas por tren, y tickets turísticos pues hazlo porque sino puede que te quedes sin lugar, es una ruta muy solicitada,

Por otro lado Cusco se encuentra al extremo sur este del Perú, para llegar a ella tienes varias opciones puedes llegar en un vuelo comercial que dura 1 : 15 minutos por USD139 dólares americanos aproximadamente lo mas recomendado es por Peruvian Airlines ya que no cobra tasas por ser turista extranjero, las otras aerolíneas tienen una tasa de al menos USD100 dólares adicionales, también puedes llegar via terrestre desde cualquier punto del país e incluso desde el extranjero si vienes de Bolivia pero para que tengas una idea desde Lima son 28 horas de viaje,

Para pasarla bien en Cusco yo te recomiendo recorrerla en 4 días, haciendo algo similar a esta sugerencia puedes hacerlo así si tienes corto tiempo para continuar tu viaje, en el día 1 es llegar a la Ciudad por la vía que creas conveniente, no debes ingerir alimento alguno para que no te afecte demasiado la altura recordando que la ciudad esta a 3700 msnm, y dirígete inmediatamente a la Casa de la Cultura y adquiere el boleto turístico que tiene un costo de USD45 dólares, ese boleto te permitirá conocer los principales templos, y lugares importantes como ciudadelas y la fortaleza de Saqsayhuaman que esta a solo 10 minutos del centro de la Ciudad, para ello necesitas contratar además alrededor de la plaza principal encontraras agencias de viajes autorizadas con un valor de USD25 dólares, una vez que obtengas estos tickets contrata además el city tour con un costo de USD10 dólares, este recorrido comienza antes de las 2pm y terminara a las 6:30pm aproximadamente, busca un hotel u hospedaje ubicado en el barrio de San Blas, ya que estarás cerca de todo, por un costo de una habitación doble por USD25 dólares,

El segundo día es para realizar el full day del valle sagrado, donde visitaras las ciudadelas y vestigios mas importantes de la cultura incaica, y las mejores fiestas artesanales, donde podrás compras souvenirs de la zona, y los paisajes del valle del rio Urubamba, donde las locaciones serán de pura magia y vistas que no volverás a ver nuevamente en buen tiempo, sale alrededor de las 8am hasta las 6pm, el tour guía te llevara a un buen restaurante de comida típica del Cusco, pero si quieres evitarlo lleva tus alimentos como agua y sándwiches ya que el costo es alto para un mochilero, pero pasaras un momento muy agradable que recordaras mucho tiempo, siempre llevar ropa cómoda para poder caminar horas de horas, batería recargable para las fotos o cámaras de video y agua, y nunca olvides tu cortaviento encima ya que nunca sabes cuando lloverá o hará mucho frio,

El tercer día muy temprano iras a la estación de trenes de Wanchaq para dirigirte a Macchupicchu, en un recorrido de unas 4 horas, por un costo de USD130 dólares,  o si tomas el bus hasta el pueblo de Ollantaytambo, y de ahí haces el Camino del Inca o tomas el tren hacia el pueblo de Macchupicchu, es una decisión importante ya que los caminos te llevan hasta tu destino final en aproximadamente en 3 días, previamente debes haber contratado en una agencia autorizada el guía y los equipos necesarios para tu seguridad, en el centro del Cusco lo encontraras solo asegúrate que sea una agencia oficial, si vas en tren llegaras al pueblo y pasaras todo el día allí, hay mucha interacción con los demás turistas, puedes pasar la tarde en los baños termales, y conseguirás un hotel por USD35 dólares con los servicios básicos para una pareja o dos amigos,

El cuarto día es exclusivo para la ciudadela de Machupicchu desde el alba hasta pasado el medio día ya que recuerda que el santuario cierra a las 3pm, la entrada al santuario es de USD46 dólares, y necesitas un bus desde la parte baja de la montaña que tiene un costo de USD10 dólares, cómpralo todo con anticipación, y bueno ese día es pura recarga energética y positivismo y no te cansaras de tomar fotos, y si te animas puedes ser uno de los 300 que a diario se les permite subir a la montaña colindante del Huayna Pichu, no recomiendo contratar guía sino recorrerlo por uno mismo y tratar de no perderte nada porque no hay una historia verdadera contada sino todo es subreal y supuesto, entonces mejor crea tu propia historia y lo que recuerdes y vivas lo contaras a tu familia y amigos cada momento y sensación.

Luego regresas a Cusco y continuas tu camino a un nuevo destino.

Huanuco y Tingo Maria "La Ceja de Selva"

El día de hoy recorreremos dos Ciudades de nuestra ceja de selva, zona que es considerada la puerta de entrada a nuestra frondosa selva oriental, en primer lugar tenemos la conocida como La Ciudad de los Caballeros de León de Huánuco, pequeña ciudad ubicada en la parte nor central del Perú, con unos 120 mil habitantes, rodeada de ríos caudalosos como el Marañón y el Huallaga que hacen que sea una tierra muy rica en recursos hídricos, y también su clima es muy benigno siendo conocida como la ciudad de la eterna primavera ya que todo el año es soleado y las temperaturas mas bajas son de 17 grados centígrados, esta a una altura de 1800 msnm, la ciudad cuenta con un aeropuerto local y sus puertas de ingreso son por la muy bien conservada y mantenida carretera central que la conectan con Huancayo y Pucallpa, y por la vía fluvial, el valle de Huánuco es muy favorable para sus actuales pobladores y ya desde antigüedad lo era, ya que en esta tierra se encontraron las cuevas prehistóricas de pintura rupestre como es Lauricocha, o el mismo templo de las manos cruzadas considerada la mas antigua de américa en cuanto a ser una de las primeras civilizaciones establecidas con organización social.

Los costos dentro de la ciudad son muy económicos, y los lugares turísticos están por todos lados, las iglesias de la fe católica, el templo de las manos cruzadas, la casa de la perricholi, y museos y pueblos locales donde podemos adquirir souvenirs y muchos lugares para tomar fotos con los mejores panoramas, tomar un tour en una van para los turistas cuesta por día USD25 dólares americanos y lo mejor es hospedarse alrededor de la plaza de armas, hay varios hoteles pero recomiendo el Hotel Lima, la vida nocturna en cuanto a la diversión esta asegurada hay discos y pubs en varias zonas, y la música es muy buena, como veras tienes todo para pasar unas grandes vacaciones, hermosa vista que te acompaña además en  la cercana Tingo María, te hará complementar tu viaje, a tan solo 2 horas y 30 minutos, eso si necesitas a veces estar vacunado contra la fiebre amarilla, pero en los controles de patrulla de carreteras a veces lo hacen en el camino, Tingo María en si, es un pueblo selvático, donde las artes culinarias, y una hermosa vista del cerro que rodea la ciudad conocida como la bella durmiente, te sorprenderá, en ese mismo parque ecológico puedes encontrar la cueva de las lechuzas donde la entrada no es mas que USD5 dólares americanos, en ella encontraras animales como hormigas gigantes coloradas, monos, arañas, e iguanas y las lechuzas, también tenemos las cataratas del velo de la novia, donde podrás pasar un rato de diversión con el arroyo y la caída del agua, mas que diversión asegurada,

Como llegamos a Huánuco?, pues desde Lima a través de la carretera central la distancia es de 8 horas y media, por un costo de USD18 dólares americanos, lo mas recomendable es hacerlo por transportes león de Huánuco o transportes Junín, también puedes ir desde Huancayo en un viaje de menos de 3 horas y media, o en un viaje de poco menos de una hora en una línea aérea comercial por al menos USD160 dólares americanos.

Cajamarca "La Ciudad del Ultimo Inca"

La Ciudad de Cajamarca, situada en el extremo nororiental del Perú, es conocida por ser la segunda ciudad en importancia durante el imperio incaico, donde se encontraba el hermano menor del Inca, los españoles entraron al territorio incaico por el oeste y comenzaron su invasión, capturaron al Inca Atahualpa, este les ofreció joyas y metales como el oro y la plata en el famoso cuarto del rescate, sitio imperdible en el circuito turístico de Cajamarca, aun así los españoles lo ejecutaron mediante los mandatos religiosos del catolicismo,

 

Cajamarca es una ciudad con una población de 120 mil habitantes, es una gran campiña, con muchos pastizales y buena tierra para el pastoreo, y agrícolas, y también minería por excelencia, ya que en su territorio mantiene una de las reservas de oro mas importantes del mundo, la minera Yanacocha es la encargada de la extracción del oro, justamente estos recursos son el motor de la economía de la Ciudad y de la Región, también es cruzada por el gran rio Mañanon, que confluye con el Amazonas mas al sur, estas tierras son muy ricas y su carnaval de febrero mas el calor de su gente, los alrededores además se encuentra la Collpa, las Ventanillas de Otuzco, Cumbemayo, Santa Apolonia, Los Baños del Inca, o el Cuarto del Rescate, el traslado dentro de la ciudad lo puedes realizar con tranquilidad en un taxi, los costos son muy económicos, por tan solo USD3 dólares a menos, la modernidad llego a la Ciudad con la construcción de centros comerciales, restaurantes de primer nivel, y los hospedajes son de primera calidad, la inversión privada también tiene mucho que ver pistas, calles, y veredas están muy bien cuidadas.

 

Como llegamos a Cajamarca?, puedes ser por tierra, a través de una compañía de bus, el viaje desde Lima es de 18 horas aproximadamente por un costo de USD40 dólares,  y por la via aérea en un vuelo comercial de 1 hora y 30 minutos por USD130 dólares americanos,

 

Tips de recomendación:

 

• La vida en las ciudades pequeñas es diferente, las discotecas por ejemplo que están por el centro de la ciudad abren como a las 9pm y cierran tipo 2 am.
• Los costos de traslados son muy económicos, para ir al cuarto de rescate es hasta antes de las 5pm, y la entrada por USD3 dólares, para ir a cumbemayo y otuzco son en traslados por USD25 dólares americanos.
• En el día hace mucho calor, y en la noche mucho frio.
• Lleva ropa gruesa para la altura debido al frio de la alta montaña.

Iquitos "La Capital de la Amazonia"

hoy viajaremos a Iquitos, principal ciudad de la selva del Perú, denominada así por ser la mas grande Ciudad de nuestra Amazonia, en medio de una de las mas grandes reservas naturales como es la Amazonia, envuelta por el río mas grande y caudaloso del mundo como lo es el Río Amazonas, el cual compartimos con nuestro pais hermano del Brasil, y las cuencas adyacentes que se comparten con el Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, y Bolivia, que nace en la cuenca de alta montaña en el departamento de Arequipa y llega hasta aquí con una gran fuerza y domina toda la cuenca de sus alrededores, con una espesa selva llena de arboles, plantas, frutos y un sin numero de animales y aves, que hacen que su colorido sea sin igual, no hay comparación al llegar allí, es tan rico en vida que solo te hace sentir conectado con el mundo y la naturaleza, y te hace respirar con uno de los mas grandes y puros pulmones de nuestro planeta tierra,

La variedad de su espesa selva de animales y frutos, hacen que a sus alrededores se hayan asentado miles de pobladores de diferentes tribus indígenas que entre de los cuales los mas representativos son los Ashaninkas o Aguarunas, milenarias costumbres e historia, donde el aislamiento con el resto era una de sus características pero la civilización los alcanzo pero no los desapareció mantuvieron sus tradiciones típicas y sobreviven en sus precarias viviendas pero con un alma de conocimiento innato en cuanto a la medicina natural y estilo de vidas únicos, compartiendo sus conocimientos con los nuevos pobladores.

Iquitos tiene como fuente de vida el Río Amazonas, entre las confluencias del Río Nanay, y el Río Itaya, sus aguas son muy caudalosas, y en esta riquísima fuente de vida natural, es una Ciudad de una población de 500 mil habitantes, es una ciudad si bien es cierto desordenada, su exquisita oferta culinaria, su clima de extremo calor, y de reservas y ecolodges que los encontraras en muchos lugares en los alrededores, esta experiencia es imperdible, te hara ser mas conocedor de lo que estamos compuestos y te hará tomar conciencia de cuidar nuestro planeta y lo importante de mantener estas zonas vírgenes.

Como llegamos?, pues solo puedes hacer vía área desde Lima con LAN o Peruvian Airlines o Star Peru, por un costo de USD130 dolares aproximadamente y un tiempo estimado de  1 hora y 30 minutos de viaje, o desde la Ciudad de Panamá vía Copa Airlines con un tiempo de viaje de 2 horas y 15 minutos, o por via fluvial desde la cercana ciudad de Pucallpa por 3 días de tiempo de recorrido o vía aerea desde Pucallpa en un vuelo de 50 minutos, o la Ciudad de Brasil de Manaos, donde puedes tomar un ferry o embarcación, con un costo de USD100 dolares aproximadamente, y con un tiempo de viaje de 3 días por la hermosa selva amazónica.

Tips de Recomendación:

• Llevar protector solar, ropa ligera, y ropas de verano, repelente de insectos indispensable
• El costo de un lancha a motor para un city tour es de USD50 dolares americanos por dos personas.

El día de hoy recorreremos en nuestras mentes la Ciudad de Piura, al norte del Perú, en el departamento del mismo nombre, ciudad de mucho calor, calidez humana, destino turístico por excelencia, y su gente, la gastronomía deliciosa, y una tierra muy fructífera, playas hermosas a sus alrededores, muy cerca de la línea ecuatorial, destinos a visitar cercanos que hacen que te faciliten el pensar que mas hacer si todo esta a pocos kilómetros y al alcance de tus tiempos,

Piura, ciudad de vertiginoso cambio alrededor de un millón de personas la habitan, el intenso calor te acompaña a donde vayas, es una ciudad fácil de recorrer los taxis de un lado a otro cuestan menos de Us1.5 dólares,

la modernidad llego a la ciudad, imponiéndose los nuevos edificios, condominios, centros comerciales, restaurantes gourmet, hoteles de categoría, hacen que la oferta haya crecido, y poco a poco la demanda también, desde aquí podrás ir a las localidades de los alrededores como hacia Mancora, Colan, Catacaos, entre otros, mucha tradición y cultura arraigada en su sociedad, además del fervor católico como el señor de muruhuay, los chamanes y la cultura popular, la danza como el lando, y el baile de los caballos de paso hacen que expresen su arte y hacen que sus visitantes disfruten de todo lo que hay por ver y hacen además muy grata tu visita.

Yo te aconsejo que te hospedes alrededor del centro, el Aeropuerto esta dentro de la Ciudad en la zona céntrica a no mas de 15 minutos, es muy fácil de trasladarte, puedes quedarte en Piura o irte a Colan para disfrutar la playa mas cerca a la Ciudad a tan solo 30 minutos de Piura, te puedes ir en bus o en taxi, y te puedes hospedar en unos pequeños hoteles que abundan en la costa, para irte hacia Mancora tienes dos opciones o saliendo del Aeropuerto tomas la minivan hacia el balneario por un costo compartido con otros viajeros de USD30 dólares por persona por dos horas de recorrido, o te vas en taxi a la estación del Eppo Bus, que cuesta USD7 dólares americanos con un tiempo de 3 horas y media.

Mancora, es el paraíso del sol, playas amplias y hermosas, su gente muy cordial te hacen sentir como en casa, los hospedajes rústicos y ahora en la actualidad resorts de lujo también, pero con la infraestructura suficiente para que estés muy cómodo, con los servicios de piscina y para poder hacer todos los deportes acuáticos mediante el alquiler de los equipos deportivos, la comida marina es excelente, y si quieres hospedarte en Hoteles de lujo también los encuentras reservando con anticipación, los lugares para divertirse están en Mancora Pueblo donde encontraras un boulevard con varios pequeños locales donde te aseguro que lo pasaras excelente, 

Mi recomendación seria definitivamente que visites el Loki del Mar, es un lugar que te hace que la estadía en Mancora sea lo mejor de tu viaje, y ademas podrás compartir experiencias de viaje con otros tantos viajeros que visitan este hospedaje, pero no te olvides de visitar la playa del amor, no es recomendable pasear de noche por la playa, estate alerta al máximo, por lo que es mejor estar en un hospedaje ya sea en Vichayto o Mancora pueblo con piscina, para que no tengas que ir mas allá, normalmente todos los hospedajes tienen restaurante y bar, además de zona de áreas de entretenimiento, si te alcanza el tiempo anda a dar una vuelta por la playa vecina de Órganos, pueblo pesquero y rustico con una muy hermosa y pacifica playa, e incluso sin bullicio ni gente como Mancora, te movilizas en taxi o en mototaxi por una mínima cantidad, el lugar ofrece actualmente todos los servicios que necesites para tu comodidad por lo que es muy recomendable visitar definitivamente.

La Ciudad de Lima, situada frente al mar, es la única capital de un estado sudamericano con vista al océano pacifico y muchas y hermosas playas, bordeadas por la denominada y recientemente rehabilitada costa verde, Lima ha sufrido un vertiginoso crecimiento si bien es cierto es una ciudad única ya que esto ocasiono que incluso sea un poco desordenada, recién en el 2009 se inauguraron sistemas de transporte masivo como el Metropolitano o el Metro de Lima recorriendo la ciudad de norte a sur y viceversa, Lima es una ciudad grande en extensión como en población alrededor de 11 millones de personas habitan la capital, dividida en cuatro zonas norte, sur, este y oeste, cada una con un microclima y con una sociedad diferente, tienes la zona pujante y en neto crecimiento económico como es el norte, el oeste y este la zona de mejor infraestructura industrial, vial, y modernidad y una zona sur mas pobre y tal vez un poco menos desarrollada que las demás áreas geográficas, pero es un crisol de razas y costumbres, formada de las nuevas generaciones llegadas de las provincias en los años 80tas, y también impulsados por la violencia y recesión económica que había en esa época, pero ahora en la actualidad todo ha cambiado el crecimiento económico ha hecho que la modernidad llegue a la ciudad donde la ultima tecnología de punta este por donde vayas, industrias, fabricas, centros comerciales, restaurantes de lujos, hoteles de 5 estrellas, discotecas, pubs, zonas de lujo, viviendas de confort, condominios, le den otra vista a la Ciudad Capital,

Como llegamos?, pues sumamente fácil la vía aérea a través del Aeropuerto Jorge Chávez en la cercana localidad del Callao, seria la manera mas fácil si eres turista extranjero, por ejemplo coloco las ciudades y tiempos desde los principales puntos de recepción de turistas.

Como veras la variedad esta en el gusto y Lima tiene todo para satisfacer eso y más, en la actualidad el boom gastronómico esta a la vuelta de esquina, la variedad de productos y la oferta para los comensales es de primer nivel, la moda esta con gran altura que no tiene nada que envidiarle a ninguna otra ciudad, además no podrás perderte los lugares a visitar como son Miraflores, a 45 minutos del centro de la ciudad, distrito lleno de parques y flores , vista al mar, y grandes manifestaciones de arte y cultura, el teatro, los cines y los centros comerciales, además de hoteles y restaurantes, lugares de diversión que harán que pases los mejores momentos, San Isidro, distrito financiero donde se encuentran las entidades bancarias y financieras del país, como sede de las grandes empresas y corporaciones que son motor del Estado Peruano, Barranco, localidad bohemia y romántica de la ciudad al sur de la misma, donde pasar una tarde no tendrá comparación,
