El dia de hoy los invito a recorrer la Ciudad de Panama, Capital de la Republica de Panama con unos 2 millones de habitantes en su área urbana, esta ubicada al borde del océano pacifico, en el golfo de Panama,
Alberga el mundialmente conocido Canal de Panama, una de las mas grandes megaobras de la ingenieria moderna del siglo xx, construido por los Estados Unidos como una vía marítima comercial, y devuelto a sus dueños panameños hace 17 años, este canal hace que año pasen por el grandes barcos de mucho tonelaje que llevan gran proporcional del comercio del mundo, y deja muchas ganancias al país por el derecho a transito, lo que hace que definitivamente sea un lugar de visita obligado para todos los turistas,
Para llegar a el a la esclusa mas cercana que es la de Miraflores, debes llegar en el metro de Panama hasta el Centro Comercial Albrook y desde allí tomar un metrobus donde el pasaje es muy económico de USD0.30 centavos de dólar, hasta la esclusa de miraflores y dentro de allí para el ingreso debes pagar un ticket de USD15 dolares americanos, la visita es aproximadamente de unas 3 horas, con las visitas guiadas en 3d y las de los museos, y obvio ver el paso de uno de estos gigantes barcos,
Ademas de ser la sede de numerosas instituciones bancarias, ya que es considerado un paraíso comercial debido a su zona franca, bajos impuestos, y facilidades para abrir empresas offshore, lo que ha hecho que la Ciudad de Panama tenga numero rascacielos, que hacen que realmente su infraestructura sea como la de Hong Kong o New York, realmente las vistas son impresionantes, caminar y ver estas estructuras es imperdible y majestuoso incluso, edificios altos con diseños modernos, centros comerciales de lujo, con las tiendas mas conocidas del mundo, es muy glamoroso y encuentras de todo para poder hacer de tus días turísticos muy ocupados,
La Ciudad Antigua, que es la Ciudad Amurallada, que le da color, sabor, y rescata la cultura e historia de la Ciudad, es uno de los mejores puntos a visitar, puedes ver la bahía, comer algo muy rico en alguno de sus restaurantes con una gastronomia exquisita, y bares en casonas antiguas, su catedral e edificios historicos muy bien cuidados,
También hay una zona al norte de la Ciudad que es las Ruinas de La Ciudad Antigua de Panama, que es el primer asentamiento de los españoles, en esta región, con ruinas de iglesias, conventos, torres, y casonas que no te debes perder en su visita, muy cerca a la bahía de Panama,
Los almuerzos los consigues en cualquier fonda por unos USD4 dólares, no es una ciudad barata se gasta debido a que la moneda corriente es el Dolar Americano, el calor es un factor también importante para tener en cuenta debido a que es muy fuerte y necesitas llevar contigo protección solar, y algún sombrero o lentes oscuros ya que es incesante, y siempre debes hidratarte.
